How it works

Four steps, then you fly.

  1. Choose a destination

Search the country you’re visiting, or pick a regional or global plan.

  2. Pick a plan

Data and price up front. Pay by card in the Sotel app.

  3. Install on Wi‑Fi

Scan the QR code before you fly. The eSIM sits beside your normal SIM.

  4. Land and connect

The plan switches on when you join a local network. Your number keeps working.

Regional and global

Visiting more than one country?

One eSIM for a whole region, or for the world. The covered countries are listed in the app before you pay.

Buy regional and global plans here or in the Sotel app.

Questions

Straight answers.

Is my phone compatible?

Most recent iPhone, Galaxy and Pixel phones support eSIM, and the phone must be unlocked.

When should I install my eSIM?

Before your trip, on reliable Wi‑Fi. It activates when you arrive and connect to a local network.

Can I keep my existing number?

Yes. The Sotel eSIM adds data beside your existing SIM, so your number stays active for calls and texts at your carrier’s usual rates.

Can one plan cover several countries?

Yes. Regional and global plans cover several countries. The covered countries are listed in the app before you pay.

How do I check my data?

Open the Sotel app, go to eSIMs and tap your plan to see what you’ve used and what’s left.
